Dr. Camille Torres is a urologist and fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in gender-affirming and genitourinary reconstructive surgery. She is passionate about providing compassionate, individualized surgical care to transgender and gender-diverse individuals, with a deep commitment to both clinical excellence and community engagement.
Raised in Puerto Rico, Dr. Torres completed her medical training at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, earning her medical degree magna cum laude and being inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for her outstanding academic achievements. She completed her urology residency at the University of Puerto Rico, where she began her early work with transgender care at the ASEM Outpatient Clinics.
Her advanced training includes a fellowship in Genitourinary Reconstruction at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. During this time, Dr. Torres worked closely with leading experts in transgender surgery and completed a one-year dedicated clinical and research fellowship under Dr. Miroslav Djordjevic, a world-renowned pioneer in the field of gender-affirming genital surgery.
Dr. Torres-Cintrón has presented nationally and internationally on topics such as peritoneal vs. sigmoid vaginoplasty, outcomes of abdominal phalloplasty, and technique refinements in metoidioplasty and revision surgeries. Her contributions have been featured at conferences including the American Urological Association (AUA), the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and the Plastic Surgery Research Council.
Beyond her surgical practice, Dr. Torres is deeply committed to advocacy, education, and community outreach. Her bilingualism (English and Spanish) enables her to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
