Academic Contributions

At the Crane Center, our surgeons are shaping the future of gender-affirming surgery. From national conferences to specialized symposiums, they are invited to share their knowledge, elevate patient-centered care, and help move the field forward. Their voices reflect our mission: to combine surgical excellence with compassion, innovation, and advocacy.

AO Davos 2025

USPATH 2025

The Crane Center was honored to participate in USPATH 2025, where several members of our surgical team contributed to the ongoing advancement of gender-affirming care through lectures, abstracts, and symposium leadership.

  • Dr. Sol Mundinger presented on contemporary phalloplasty approaches.
  • Dr. Camille Torres delivered multiple oral abstracts, including presentations on abdominal phalloplasty, peritoneal flap versus sigmoid vaginoplasty in the management of vaginal canal stenosis, and changes in urinary storage symptoms following vaginoplasty.
  • Dr. Richard Santucci discussed current considerations in detransition procedures.
  • Dr. Gallegos, Dr. Santucci, and Dr. Torres jointly led a mini-symposium on gender-affirming phalloplasty.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share clinical expertise, engage in meaningful dialogue, and contribute to the advancement of transgender health care.
